Day 01: Depart USA Board your flight out to Kenya for what will be a most unforgettable safari, set in locations which offer you the finest examples of Kenyan scenery, wildlife & cultures.
Day 02: Nairobi Meet our representative at the airport & transfer to the luxurious Norfolk Hotel for your overnight.
Day 03 & 04: Amboseli National Park After an early breakfast, fly out to Amboseli, located in Southern Kenya close to the Kenya/Tanzania border. Check in at the Tortilis Camp, one of the best tented camps in East Africa renowned for it’s delicious homestyle cuisine, high standards of service and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain towering at 5895 metres. Morning and afternoon game drives give you a chance to view Amboseli National Park’s astounding Elephant population [which ranges in thousands] among other wildlife such as Black Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Maasai Giraffe, Gazelle & Buffalo, to name a few. Amboseli is a birdwatcher’s heaven with 300 hundred species on display.
Day 05 & 06: Samburu Game Reserve Depart by air for Samburu, located in the Semi-arid Northern province, & check in at the beautiful Samburu Serena Lodge overlooking the Uaso Nyiro River. Game viewing in the morning and evening through the reserve offers a chance to see the wild beauty of the Samburu terrain & rare wildlife species such as the Reticulated Giraffe, Long-necked Gerenuk , Beisa Oryx & Grevy’s Zebra. On a clear day, it is possible to see Mount Kenya, the highest mountain in the country from the Samburu game reserve. Birdlife in Samburu is prolific. Daily tribal dance performances by the Samburu warriors provide a pleasant end to each day.
Day 07, 08 & 09: Masai Mara Game Reserve Fly across the Kenyan Rift Valley to the magical Masai Mara Game reserve & check in at Kichwa Tembo, for another chance to stay in an authentic safari luxury tented camp. The camp offers a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape, birdlife & game. During the annual wildebeest migration between July & October, the camp is in an ideal location from which to set out to see the millions of herbivores invading the lush green plains of the Mara. Game drives in the Mara in open-top safari vehicles are an unforgettable experience as you watch, unobstructed, the game filled plains unfold before you. Visits to the Mara River offer a chance to see hippo & croc’s sunning themselves on the banks. Cultural visits to Masai Village provide a fascinating insight on the local Maasai lifestyle. Masai Mara is a birdwatchers delight with over 400 species and a bird checklist thoughtfully placed in each tent.
Day 10: Nairobi Set off for Nairobi and stop for lunch at Carnivore, Kenya’s famous game meat restaurant. Check in at the Norfolk for day use and later transfer for your flight back home with wonderful memories of Kenya & it’s splendid wildlife & landscape.
